Wheeling has 1-2 No Limit Holdem going all the time, anywhere from 2 to 8 tables going.
also has 2-5 No Limit Holdem all the time, anywhere from 1 to 4 tables going.
good place, just a complaint you cant buy chips at table, so when you bust out you got to walk to get more chips, cant buy from dealer!
Wheeling has predominantly $1/$2 NLHE tables going pretty much 24/7. Daily Tournaments 10 AM & 7PM. They have occasional $130 WSOP satellites on Saturdays every now & then.
Surprisingly, I'd say the level of competition is now a little tougher than AC or Vegas. Not so much when the room first opened, but the play has become vastly improved since then. However, I do prefer the more predictable, grinding style of play that comes with more experienced players at the tables.
I think the actual room itself is much, much better than Mountaineer, but I think Mountaineer has a much better variety of games going than Wheeling. They also have a bad beat jackpot, Aces full of Jacks or better to win. (Myself, I prefer to just skip the bad beat and have $1 less dragged from each pot, but that's just me.)
The only knock I'd give the room is the lack of variety in games spread (I'd like to play $4/$8 or $6/$12 limit, but that hardly goes anywhere anymore, so not such much Wheeling's fault), and they comp a measly $.25 an hour for the poker room (compared to $1/hr and even up to $2 or $3/hr I've seen offered in Vegas recently)
