East Coast Rounders

I have to tell you if I compare poker touneys live and online I feel that online players are better than your everyday Atlantic city weekly tourney or cash of 100.00 and under. I feel that the live players in AC. are there on vacation and have played once or twice at home and want to try it at a casino. I am not speaking of all but a nice percentage of them are this way. Online players at least on fulltilit and Bodog (only sites I play) have access to poker all day everyday and are more experienced in the low limit games and tourneys. For instance .25 .50 cent games are equal to 1-2 no limit in Casinos. I guess my point is that yes there are donks every where but if you believe there are a lot online then I am sure there is that much or more in AC at higher limits. So therefore if you play buy-ins of 100.00 or less I would rather play people in casinos instead of online. Your thoughts?

I have to agree...there is plenty of weak play in the Casinos, but they all have their regulars just like Online does, My whole problem with Online poker is, the attitude of some players who dont' care what the buy-in is, so they play like idiots....Nothing angers me more than hearing, "it's only a $2, $5, $10 or $20 game" as reasoning for bad plays or calls. Personally I play pretty much the same way, regardless if it's a $2 game or a $50 game....that's just me.....

I think what is happening, based on all the podcasts I listen to, is that most good online players are multi-tabling the cash games, at roughly 25% of live stakes, and then playing uber-tight. That way they still get their ROI for the same timeframe, yet reduce their variance due to playing a more aggressive/risky game.

Tourney wise, the online mentality is that they can play 20-30 tourneys a day, as opposed to live maybe 1 or 2. So risk & win is more prevalent that cashing like live games, since another game is aonly a few minutes away.

That is why you will be or already are a winning player. If they change their play for the worst because the amount of money they lose does not bother them, then by all means I welcome them at my table. The downside is they call 60% of their chips with 10-2 suited and crack your Q-Q with flush. But we need them to have small wins like that so they can keep thinking they are great poker players and keep coming back.

Most live players don't have the tools the online players have, online players have HEM/PT to review HH's, they have forums to get other poker players say on how they play certain hands online poker players are lights and days better then live players..
