i believe they "rent" the facility to differnet non-profit groups every night who then in turn conduct tournaments. apparently this is how it works in DE

Interesting. DE is certainly closer for me, but it's also just a short distance to AC from Newark...

DON'T DO IT! Yes, I have been there because it was close,. Don't like the format (which sort of amounts to 1/3 because of some weird legal mumbo-jumbo), don't trust the "dealers", don't like or trust the manager/owner, don't like the forced donation every half hour. It's no foldem' holdem, and you aren't part of the club, so you will lose. This was the worst poker experience of my life. I thought maybe it was me, so I brought another experienced player without telling him anything about it and he said all the same things I just did. I felt so bad about bringing him there I gave him his buy-in back out of my own roll. I am an experienced player with many thousands of hours of casino, online, and homegame play, and I've never seen a game that seemed so shady. I am a native delawarean, and wish I could give a positive report on this place, but all I have to say, is keep on driving, AC is that much farther away, but even if you costs you $50 more in gas, tolls and parking, at least you won't feel cheated at the end of the night.

Here's the latest on the DE Poker Room. Still haven't been there cause I'm holding out for true live poker in the spring when Delaware Park should have tables up and running. Here's there new address: The Limestone Shopping Center • 2060 Limestone RD., • Wilmington, DE. 19808 Looks like they only run cash games now, no more tourney's.

Good News Del should have real poker around May, at Delaware Park, Dover and Harrington. I cannot wait because it is a lot closer to me then AC and Charlestown is right behind them and PA.
