East Coast Rounders

5 of my good friends and myself are headed to Atlantic City on my 25th birthday. None of us have ever been there so I have taken it upon myself to find the best deal on a hotel that is on the strip.  We are leaving on the 2nd of March which is on a tuesday so I imagine there has to be cheaper rates but I'm not finding anything less than $50 a room. I figured there would be specail of some sort for a group of 6 that are out to gamble. Anyone have any info that could help??

Thanks

First of all good luck on your b day. Second there is no strip in AC and it is to bad you cannot go to the gaming meca which is Las Vegas, which has the strip. The Borgata is the best by far, but I do not think you are going to get 50.00 a night there. Try calling and ask to speak to a host and see what you can work out. Business in down and you might get a deal. I stay at harrah's because I get free rooms there, it is OK, poker room is smaller that the Borgara, they also own showboat, ceasars and bally's.

Hope this helps.

I have been looking a great deak at Harrah. Do you think that I could try calling them as well? I know it is a smaller poker room but heard a lot of good things about it.

You might want to try the Irish Pub. On the boardwalk, and I've heard a lot of good things about it. Cheap rooms, for one.

Also, there is a Howard Johnson's (on Pacific, I think) that has been advertising inexpensive rooms.

Harrah's and Bally's have also been advertising - but their rates have been changing. I don't know what you'll be able to get right now. I would call and ask. Once you've played a little, you can probably get a comped room during the week. It doesn't take much.
