Bio
My family was one of the first families to come into Pres. Kennedy's new Defense Intelligence Agency in 1961. Our first assignment was Teheran, Iran! My dad used to have home games every other Saturday night. Because of that, before everyone came over, he taught me 7 Card Stud, at my tender age of 11. He let me watch everyone play, and I learned. I would always ask my dad later why players played the way they did, and that would start a discussion and further education on the game. I played off and on at home for the love of the game.
Over the next few decades, there were priorities, and then in 1989, I went to Las Vegas. I fell in love with the neon, and the action. But it was small potatoes gambling, with no discipline and very little patience. Thank goodness, I didn't go to the dark side. It wasn't until 2003 that I "watched" a 7 stud game in Binions Horseshoe that I really started to lust. It was just like at home with my dad. I would watch and it started to come back to me. At the same time, I watched a hold em game. The next year, 2004, I went to the WSOP. The experience was unreal. I had already started to play online, and began playing low stakes in "The Shoe" and at Excalibur. I believe that my career in the Intelligence and Technology fields has given me tools to bring to the table. To make a long story short, I've played in most of the rooms on The Strip, and the Plaza, Binions, and the Nugget downtown. I didn't start playing Atlantic City until 2006. Since then, I've tournament cashed at the Trop, Borgata, Taj, and Harrah's and have played lots of cash games.
I was finally able to bring my dad to Vegas for my birthday in 2004 so we could share the felt. He died in 2005. The best thing about playing poker for me is that I always feel his presence at the table. It makes me think and play the best I can. That's why I'm always in the learning state. You can't go wrong being in that frame of mind. I also believe that your image is most important in this game. I hate to lose but I'm not going to take it out on anyone. I'd rather people say they enjoyed playing with me and had fun. My goal is to take your money and leave you smiling. Shuffle up and deal....Baby!
Im memory of a bad azz stud player, My Father. The yellow rose of Texas signifies our birthstate. The ace of hearts signifies our poker bond and his son's love forever.
